History

In 2019, the council reduced funding for the festival, and approved a funding deal over three-years of $3 million.The funding was $1.1 million in 2019-20, $1 million in 2020-21, and was to be $900,000 in 2021-22.The shortfall was filled by increased funding from the state government, and also covered the leasing of the venue, Princes Wharf No1.
